Today we did an afternoon trip through Delft and the little village Den Hoorn. It's our home town so it was about time! You can easily enter the water just next to the trainstation. Enjoy the beautiful historical canals of the old town of Delft and have lunch or drink a beer in one of the many restaurants and pubs in the city centre.
I am a lecturer at the The Hague University of Applied Sciences, faculty Social Work and Education and live in Delft in the Netherlands.
This was the last part of our multiple day tour. Instead of paddling 20 km to Weesp station we decided to paddle back to Breukelen by way of the Loosdrechtse plassen. We did this track on a sunday with beatiful weather and there were a lot of other boats on the water. Not all of them were very considerate with our little canoe causing big waves. We ended our trip at the crossing of the 'Amsterdam - Rijn Kanaal'. We advice strongly not to cross with the Onak.
Beautiful trip through the city of Utrecht. Starting point: B&B 'Hartje Utrecht'
As part of our multi day trip on the rivers Kromme Rijn and Vecht we paddled from Utrecht (B&B Hartje Utrecht) to Loenen a/d Vecht (B&B klein Loenen). A nice trip over the river Vecht with beautiful old houses and the little picturesque towns 'Oud Zuilen', 'Maaarssen', 'Breukelen' and finally 'Loenen a/d Vecht' with restaurants where you can have lunch. Make sure to get out of the water after the first bridge on the left because after that point you will only find private back yard gardens.
We paddled from Cothen (B&B De Vlonder) to Utrecht (B&B Hartje Utrecht) following the river KKromme Rijn down stream. It's a beautiful trip through green fields, forests, and the historical canals of Utrecht at the end.
We started our trip at the visitors centre in Dordrecht. This is an excellent place to start. It has a (free) parking place, toilets, a restaurant and easy acces to the water. In the mornig we did a round trip in the west. Had lunch at the place where we started and in the afternoon we did a round trip in the east. Unfortnunately it was low tide so some little creeks where not accessilbe.
What a amazing coincidence. Whe met other Onak owners #Onak.by/umiak
Short trip around the island in Alausas lake. At the land side of the bridge you can carry your canoe to the other side of thr bridge.
Just a short trip on crystal clear Alausas lake.
Short trip from Palūse on the Lūsiai lake and the small beautiful Meirona river.
An afternoon trip from Fleeth over the Rätsee (motor boat free!) to Campingplatz am Rätzsee and back. I don't recommend to do this trip with strong north-east or south-west winds.
Short lunch trip from Fleeth to a nice restaurant (Regolin am See) in Diemitz. Try the fishburger when you are there!
Day trip from the Rätzsee through the Drosedower Bek to the Gobenowsee. From there via the Dolbeck, Labussee, the Diemitzer Schleuse and finaly the Oberbek back to were we started.
Very nice place to canoe but don't expect to be on your own. We did an afternoon trip from Fleeth to the Labussee and back. Easy trip but be aware that the Diemitzer Schleuse can take some time. The Biber campsite and restaurant at the Kleiner Peetschsee is a nice place to stay or have a lunch.
Nice canoe trip just outside Delft. Just take the tram to the last stop (Abtwoudse park) and walk 10 min. to the start. From there just follow the signs from point 55 to 54, 53,52,51 and back. Or just carry your canoe from point 51 to the Schie and peddle to the old town of Delft.
Beautiful round trip from the island 'De Woude' to the 'Woudaap' wind mill.
Short trip on the island De Woude. We loved our stay at B&B 't Eilandje
